Well, as you all probably know, this year's all star game is in the Big Easy. Next years is in Phoenix. And in 2010 its in Toronto. So why not in 2011, Miami?
Back in 1990, there was an All Star Game down here. But it was in the Miami Arena, a horrific arena. Then, we built the American Airlines Arena, unaguabley one of the premiere arenas in the NBA. Plus, in 1990, a lot of us were too young to remember or werent even alive yet.
Memphis, Portland, and Sacramento, are the only NBA cities that havent hosted an All Star Game yet. But their arenas are not as nice as ours. And all those cities, either theres not that many people there, or just many people dont visit them. In Miami, theres lots of Turists, so that could make the festivities get more people.
Plus, there was the '03 NHL All Star Game and the Super Bowl last year, and they both had great succes. Even the Marlins World Series sold out in a 70,000 people stadium. So why not Miami? Hopefully Stern considers it.
